That helps families find you and helps us keep our links current.

Dual Enrollment and Homeschool in Florida

Dual Enrollment and Homeschool in Florida Florida homeschool students can participate in dual enrollment at participating state colleges and universities when they meet program eligibility. Rules and availability are set by the Florida Department of Education and by each institution. This page is a bridge to official sources and to planning resources that help families prepare. Colleges and advisors can link here for a concise, citation-ready overview. What is dual enrollment for homeschool students? Dual enrollment lets eligible high school (and sometimes middle school) students take college courses for credit while still in homeschool. In Florida, eligibility and course options depend on state policy and the college. Homeschool students typically must meet the same academic requirements as other dual enrollment students and follow the college’s application process. The FL DOE and individual institutions publish current eligibility and application details.

Homeschool to Magnet Program Transition – Florida

Homeschool to Magnet Program Transition Families moving between homeschool and magnet programs in Florida need clear records, alignment with district or program requirements, and a plan for the switch. This page gives a concise overview and links to Florida’s official homeschool and school choice information so magnet programs and districts can link to a single, parent-facing resource. We don’t set policy; we point to it and to planning steps. Why magnet programs and districts might link here Parents often search for “homeschool to magnet” or “magnet program from homeschool.” This page answers that question in one place and directs them to official sources and to our transition from public school and first-year guides. Linking here from your “Homeschool” or “Parent resources” page gives families a clear next step without duplicating your own policy.
