Third Grade Curriculum

Third grade shifts toward essay-level writing, multiplication and division, state history, and more experimental science. The core four subjects stay in a 4 core + 1 review + 1 project day week. Florida homeschool requirements are met with a portfolio and annual evaluation.

What Third Grade Covers

• Language arts — Paragraphs, essay structure, reading comprehension, and grammar.
• Mathematics — Multiplication, division, fractions, and problem-solving.
• Science — Experimental science and hands-on investigations.
• Social studies — State and U.S. history, geography, and civics.

Weekly Structure

• 4 core days — Focused lessons in the core four subjects.
• 1 review day — Practice and catch-up.
• 1 project day — Flex for projects, field trips, or pacing.
