Homeschool Community
Homeschool is legal with a Letter of Intent and a portfolio. It is sustainable with people who answer your texts when math melts down on a Wednesday.
Community will not teach Tuesday’s science lesson. It will tell you that skipping science on Tuesday is normal, here is what worked for their third grader, and yes — you can still pass evaluation.

How to get value in your first week
Do not lurk for six months. Try this:
Day 1: Introduce yourself — county, grades, how long you have been homeschooling.
Day 2: Ask one specific question (“What do you use for Florida history in fourth grade?”).
Day 3: Answer someone else’s question if you can — even “we are figuring that out too” helps.
Week 2: Share one win (a read-aloud that worked, a filing confirmation, a field trip).
Specific questions get specific answers. “Is homeschool hard?” gets silence.
Local community in Florida (beyond the screen)
Online forums are not the only support layer. Florida families also use:
